パープルデーは栄の盆踊り祭に参加しました！

パープルデー・ジャパンは8月4日に開催された、今年が第1回目となる「栄盆おどり」に参加しました。

当日は栄のメインロードが閉鎖されて、展示ブースがたくさん並んでいました。この貴重な機会を捉え、パープルデー・ジャパンは、多くの人々にアピールするために初めてこのような祭りに参加しました。

パープルデーブースでは、てんかんの認識を高めたり啓発活動を人々に知ってもらうために、パープルデーグッズを配布したり販売したりしました。また、募金箱を設置し、私たちの活動に賛同してくれた方への募金を呼びかけました。

そして、今回最も注目を集めたのは、プロレスイベントです！たくさんの方が足を止めてプロレスの開始を待っていました。パープルデーのキャラクター「パープルマン」が登場し、悪役レスラーと面白く戦っていました。見に来た人々はみんな盛り上がって、パープルマンを応援してくれました。今回のプロレスイベントは、祭りに来た多くのお客さんたちにパープルデーの活動を知ってもらう絶好の機会となりました。

今後もこのような地域のお祭りに参加させていただき、地域のつながりを広げつつ、パープルデーの活動も広げていきたいと思います。

Purple Day booth at Sakae Bon Odori Festival!

On 4th of August, Purple Day Japan attended to one of the famous festivals in Nagoya, Sakae Bon Odori.

On the day, the main road in Sakae was closed to let various participants have their exhibition booth. Purple Day Japan took this valuable opportunity and attended to the festival first time to appeal to many people. In the festival, we opened a small booth with the purpose of educating people about epilepsy awareness as well as distributing and selling various Purple Day goods. We also prepared a small box for charity money so that willing visitors might do some financial contribution.

The important part of our attendance was the pro wrestling event that took place right in the middle of the road that many people crossed. Around a hundred people gathered and waited for the wrestling to start, after which, surprisingly, our hero Purple Man came out to wrestle with villains. It was indeed a great opportunity for many to know about the activities of Purple Day and its heroic character Purple Man.

The Sakae Bon Odori Festival was indeed a success for Purple Day. We will keep expanding Purple Day's reach and connection by participating in other festivals around the neighborhood.
